Local area
- The Beach is an obvious attraction. It starts where the car park ends. Swimming in the sea is possible in the summer and fishing is done all year round
- Pevensey Castle is a few miles away, and can be reached by foot in less than one hour. The castle was built by Wiliam the Conqueror a few years after he landed on our beach in 1066.
- The Sovereign Centre is a modern swimming pool a few miles away in Eastbourne
- If you want to do some shopping, Eastbourne is the place to be. The pedestrianised Terminus Road, the Arndale Centre and the nearby Enterprice Centre have a decent number of shops, restaurants, and more.
- Other attractions in Eastbourne include the Sovereign Harbour Waterfront (the marina), which is about a mile from here. The complex includes a modern yacht harbour, and many restaurants and boutiques.
- Battle Abbey is built on the site where William the conqueror fought his famous battle in 1066. The Abbey is run by English Heritage, and it is certainly worth a vist.
- Nearby Hastings is also home to a number of tourist attractions, including the Smuggler's Adventure and Bluereef Aquarium.
